Directly related to your billable goals for the week… As we know, just because we are billable/chargeable doesn’t necessarily mean we completed the work we need to complete (or more importantly, that we stayed on budget or met the client expectations). My suggestion, along with your Practice Management Goals, is to define what you are going to do in your billable time. That is, what projects/returns are you going to complete or move along? It’s important to come back to your goal at the end of the week/beginning of the next and make sure that you accomplished what you set out to achieve (not just input and time, but output as well). If you didn’t meet your set goals, then you can dig in and see where you fell short and make the appropriate adjustments moving forward.
