Google announces new Operating System
July 8, 2009
Google’s timing for this announcement couldn’t be more strategic. Microsoft recently released a working copy (release candidate) of Windows 7. Which by the way has been a joy to use. It’s much faster and fixes many of the issues Vista users complained about. It’s so good most Xcentric team members have already upgraded even though it’s not the final version.
So, will the Google OS take over Microsoft? I doubt it will any time soon. But it is likely to take a significant amount of the market share over time.

So are u a big microsoft believer?
Hey James,
Thanks for the comment. I can’t say I’m a die hard Microsoft or Google guy. The way it seems to play out today is most of my business dealings happen in the Microsoft world and the opposite is true for my personal stuff. As you most likely know, Microsoft just announced their online version of Office which will make things even more interesting. Personally, I’d like both to stay around and continue competing. That competition is great for us as consumers.
